This single-origin coffee is sourced from the Karatu Coffee Factory in the Thika District of Kenya, situated at an altitude of 1700 to 1900 meters. The coffee is a SL-28 variety, processed using a washed method with a 72-hour total processing time. It offers a vibrant and lively flavor profile characterized by notes of lemon zest, gooseberry, and purple grape. This coffee is suitable for both filter and espresso brewing methods.
Founded in 2009 by Kaelin McCowan in a back alley in Dundas, Ontario, Detour Coffee Roasters was born from a passion for the craft. They started with a journey across the continent to pick up their first roaster and have since grown into a beloved brand known for their fun, approachable, and high-quality "friendly coffee".
