This Grade-1 microlot coffee is sourced from the Guji Kercha station in the Banko Michicha area of Ethiopia's Guji zone. Grown by 150 local smallholder farmers at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,050 meters, it features regional varieties including Kurume, Wolisho, Heirloom, and Dega. The coffee undergoes an innovative 'Wine Process' involving extended cherry fermentation in oxygen-deprived, vacuum-sealed stainless steel tanks. This results in an exotic flavor profile characterized by notes of wine, berries, and raisins.
While the Andraschko Kaffeemanufaktur was officially founded in 2006, the coffee passion of Elisabeth and Willy Andraschko began back in 1979 when they established a Viennese coffee house in Berlin, with Willy notably joining the world-famous Café Einstein and shaking up the scene.
