This single-origin coffee is produced by Thiago Henrique Maingoli Muniz at Fazenda Nossa Senhora de Fátima in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Grown at an altitude of 950–1,150 meters, this Red Catuai variety undergoes an extended fermentation natural process. The cup profile is characterized by a classic Brazilian structure with a boozy lift, featuring sweet notes of toffee apple, honey, and caramel. It is roasted specifically for espresso and is well-suited for milk-based drinks.
Artefact Coffee is a UK roastery that roasts on a fluid-bed system, which pushes hot air through the beans rather than tumbling them against a heated drum. Their stated aim is to eliminate defects, get extraction as clean as possible, and back it all up with numbers. The same mindset extends to packaging made from paper and card only, and fully recyclable at home. They also fund reforestation and carbon removal.
