Peru - Roger Chilcon

Father's Coffee Roastery

About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is produced by Roger Chilcon Flores on his three-hectare farm in the El Diamante area of the San José de Lourdes district in Peru. Grown at an altitude of 1,900 to 2,000 meters, this coffee consists of Caturra and Pache varieties. The cherries undergo overnight maceration, 24 to 36 hours of fermentation, and are washed before being dried in a ventilated greenhouse. The resulting cup offers a balanced body and a rich aromatic profile, characterized by gentle sweetness and harmony.

Father's Coffee Roastery

RepublicThis Ostrava based family roastery was founded in 2017 by husband and wife duo Petr and Marie, who previously worked as baristas at Berlin's Five Elephant cafe. What started as a small family business with dad roasting and mom tasting while the kids watched has grown to a team of over 10 people with a Prague showroom opening in Bubenč. They roast on an American made five pound Diedrich IR-5 roaster with quality as their number one priority, offering regularly rotating harvests from around the world. Their Mothership espresso blend has become beloved by baristas and home enthusiasts for its full creamy body and milk chocolate flavor.
