This coffee is sourced from the Karamo Adara station in the Bensa region of Sidama, Ethiopia, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. It is a washed coffee consisting of the Walega (JARC 74158) variety, cultivated by approximately 1,500 smallholder producers. The flavor profile features notes of orange, apricot, and white tea. This coffee is roasted specifically for espresso preparation.

A husband and wife team founded Subtext in 2016 in Toronto's Little Portugal, building a roastery around the idea that every coffee carries a deeper story worth uncovering.
