This coffee is a Pacamara variety from Finca Buena Vista, located in the Fraijanes region of Guatemala at 1900 meters altitude. Produced by Fredy Orantes, this lot is processed using a traditional natural method, involving hand-picking, dry fermentation in-sack for 48 hours, and drying on raised beds for 25-30 days. The flavor profile features notes of rose, raspberry jam, white chocolate, pink marshmallow, and dried mango, with tropical fruit juice characteristics and a boozy, pulpy finish as it cools.
Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
