This coffee is an Ethiopian single-origin from the West Arsi/ Gedeb area of Gedeo, Gedeb, grown at 1,950–2,200 masl. It uses Washed processing and combines Wolisho and Dega varieties. Sensory notes include Apricot, Physalis aroma; Bergamot, Peach, Toffee flavor; Milk chocolate, Peach aftertaste; and mid-intensity orange/citric acidity with a light, juicy body. Roast is described as light.
Coffea Circulor emerged from its founders' work with the United Nations environmental branch in Arendal, after witnessing coffee farmers in Kenya being paid merely $0.70/kg for green coffee. Initially roasting on a lighthouse island named Store Torungen, nowadays the company operates onshore as a multi-award winning producer, roaster, and research lab.
