About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is grown in the Chirripó highlands of Costa Rica at an altitude of 1,600 meters. Produced at Finca La Guaca by the Cafe Rivense estate, this Catuai variety coffee is naturally processed, where the beans are dried whole in the fruit. The resulting cup is lush and fruit-forward, featuring distinct tasting notes of apricot and lavender, balanced by a rich dark chocolate finish.

Lucky Goat Coffee

Lucky Goat Coffee was founded in 2010 by Ben Pautsch in Tallahassee, Florida, starting as a pure wholesale operation that spent its first five years building a network of over 350 accounts across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. The company's roastmasters develop unique profiles for each single origin coffee, hand roasting at the Tallahassee facility and shipping nationwide. Lucky Goat sources through importers it has vetted for origin, farming practices, and farmer welfare, and grades all café coffees at specialty level to ensure producers retain negotiating power. The business has since expanded to multiple Tallahassee cafés, a Jacksonville franchise, and a Texas outpost in Frisco, with a café consultation and equipment servicing arm supporting other operators.
