This is a Typica variety coffee from Finca Nogales in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, grown at 1870-2000 meters altitude. Produced by farmer Oscar Hernández, the coffee undergoes a washed process followed by decaffeination using the "mosto" method, which involves hot water immersion and resting in a natural solvent derived from coffee pulp for 24 hours. The cup profile features white peach and lychee with a milky oolong tea finish, delivering a silky and round mouthfeel with preserved clarity and texture despite the decaffeination process.
Founded in 2021 by award-winning barista Rob Clarijs, who won Coffee Masters London 2019, A Matter of Concrete operates from the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam, once the country's largest coffee roastery. Expect clean, flavorful and complex cups.
