Arkib Kopi

About This Coffee

This Brazilian blend combines three microlots from Pedro Gabarra: Topázio Peaberry with concentrated sweetness, a naturally processed Bourbon microlot with deep caramel notes, and a Bourbon honey process with red fruit character. The espresso profile mentions persimmon fruitiness and walnut sweetness with a black tea finish; with milk it deepens to coconut and brown butter sweetness. Overall, a balanced, approachable blend designed for espresso and milk-based drinks.

Arkib Kopi

Arkib Kopi was founded in 2018 by Helmi, a certified Q grader whose training in Japan shaped both his palate and his approach to presentation. The roastery operates from its "Ibu Sawat" (Mothership) facility in Kuala Lumpur, housing a custom 1kg machine alongside a 15kg Cogen roaster for production batches. Sourcing follows a dual model: direct trade with producers to secure top lots and a sustainable partnership with Falcon Coffee Trader that prioritizes social and environmental impact. The lineup is organized into three collections, FANSI for omni roast, RUTIN for filter, and MANIS for espresso, each highlighting seasonal origins from Rwanda, Panama, Indonesia, and Brazil. Arkib also runs weekend public cupping sessions at its flagship, reinforcing its role as a community hub for specialty coffee education in Malaysia.
