This coffee is an Ethiopian single-origin bean produced by Lensa Gari Washing Station in the Guji Hambela area. It is processed with natural/sun-dried methods and grown at altitudes around 2,000 meters, produced by a network of smallholder farmers. The cherries are handpicked and sorted, then dried slowly on raised beds to preserve natural sweetness and complex flavors.
Founded in 2020 by Francesco Impallomeni, Jacob Frankel, and Miguel Botero in Copenhagen's Amager district, Nordic Roasting Co. operates as a roastery, cafe, and educational hub. Their mission centers on providing high quality, sustainable, and ethically sourced specialty coffee while creating transparency about the social and environmental impacts of the coffee industry. Most of their coffee is direct traded with farmers, with remaining purchases made transparently through importers who disclose prices paid to producers. They craft roast coffee to bring out the essence of different terroirs, and provide customers with the full package: freshly roasted beans, state of the art brewing equipment, and ongoing training.
