This Sidamo coffee is a washed Arabica from Ethiopia, grown at an altitude between 1200 and 1800 meters. It is a Typica variety coffee known for its pleasant acidity and distinct flavor profile, which features notes of orange blossom and honey.
Kaffeerösterei 13/15 is a specialty coffee roaster in the canton of Obwalden in central Switzerland, with its roastery in Sachseln and a coffee bar in nearby Sarnen. It has been running since 2015 and is led by its two co-founders, Susanne Gruss and Sarah Bürgi, with Sarah heading the roasting side. They roast gently on a drum roaster, using green coffee from Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sumatra, Java, India, and Nepal. They put as much weight on ecological growing and the producers' working conditions as on the quality of the green coffee itself.
