This coffee is a blend of two distinct lots from producer Edinson Argote at La Quebradita farm in Timaná, Huila, Colombia, grown at 1850 meters. It combines an advanced natural Chiroso lot and a washed Maragesha lot. The Chiroso undergoes a complex fermentation process involving yeast inoculation, while the Maragesha undergoes anaerobic fermentation and multiple washing stages. The resulting cup is sweet and fruity, featuring flavor notes of cherry blossom, lime zest, red slushee, and pineapple.
Black & White is the realization of barista champions Kyle Ramage and Lem Butler’s ambition to democratize elite‑level coffee. They manage a dedicated roastery since 2017, roasting four days per week.
