This is a single-origin Colombian coffee from Villa Pastora farm in Palestina, Huila, grown at 1680 meters altitude by third-generation producer Yulieth Mora Ortega. The Ombligon variety is processed with yeast inoculation, featuring a 120-hour fermentation in sealed barrels with a specific S. cerevisiae yeast strain before washing and drying under a marsequina for 15 days. The cup profile showcases passionfruit yoghurt, bruised plum, peach, alphonso mango, and nectarine with tropical hop notes, delivering intensely sweet and process-forward flavors.
Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
