This single-origin coffee comes from Granja La Esperanza in Caicedonia, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, produced by Rigoberto and Luis Herrera. The Colombia varietal was processed naturally with 36 hours of cherry fermentation, 48 hours in a temperature-controlled silo, and 15 days of drying at 1500–1950 meters elevation. The cup presents cherry, tamarind, and dark chocolate notes and is roasted for espresso.
Joseph Haddad founded this trailblazing roastery in 2012 with an unwavering mission to make quality coffee accessible to everyone. Their philosophy centers on honoring the entire coffee chain from origin farmers to the final cup, employing rigorous research and extensive sourcing to deliver exceptional single origins and blends. Code Black's approach balances innovation with respect for traditional coffee craftsmanship, creating what they aptly describe as coffee "made by humans, for humans."
