A natural-processed coffee from the Al-Qafr district in the Ibb governorate of Yemen, grown at 2,000–2,400 meters above sea level by smallholder farmers. The Hawari variety (a local heirloom) is cultivated organically without certification, using composted animal manure and traditional pest control. Cherries are dried on rooftops. Flavor notes include earthy tones, fruity sweetness, cocoa, sweet tobacco, chai spices, dried peach, plum, banana, grape-like acidity, rustic sugars, leather, incense, sandalwood, and a bittersweet rhubarb and chicory root finish.
