About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is from Finca Villa Betulia in Acevedo, Huila, Colombia, grown at 1,450 meters altitude. Produced by Luis Aníbal Calderón, the coffee features the Castillo variety processed using the natural method. Perfectly ripe cherries are hand-picked, dry fermented for approximately 25 hours, and dried over several weeks on parabolic dryers. The coffee offers tasting notes of dark chocolate, grape, and cranberry with a full, wine-like body, pronounced sweetness, and fruity acidity.

Kaffeekirsche

Kaffeekirsche was founded in 2014 in Berlin Kreuzberg near Adalbertsrasse, beginning a journey that has seen the roastery move and expand multiple times as demand grew. In 2017 the operation relocated to Böckhstrasse alongside a new cafe and bakery, and by February 2022 the main roastery had settled in Tempelhof with an attached cafe, bringing the total to three Berlin locations. All coffee is drum roasted daily, with a focus on single origin Arabica beans sourced from origins including Colombia, where Pink Bourbon from the Cauca region is among the standout lots. Their omni roast philosophy means each coffee is developed to perform across both espresso and filter brewing methods. Signature roasts like the Dark Side Espresso and Gran Galope, known for its full body and lingering sweetness, showcase the range and ambition of their roasting program.
