Von & Vonnie

von&vonnie opened its doors on 2 January 2023. Morgan and Vonnie, who are a team in life as well as in business, were already toying with the idea, and even with the name von&vonnie, shortly after they met in Thailand about five years ago. The dream of starting their own café with a roastery attached has been living rent-free in their heads ever since. They had originally planned to spend just a year in Porto, but fell so hard for the country and its people that they put down roots and turned the dream into reality. The entire concept behind von&vonnie is built on fairness, transparency and seasonality. Most of the beans come from female producers, because the two place great value on working with women-led projects. On their website you can see exactly how much is paid for the green coffee and what costs are involved in roasting, packaging and the other steps along the way.
