This Simbi Honey filter coffee is sourced from the Huye region in Rwanda, grown at 1,850 meters altitude on volcanic soil. It is a Red Bourbon variety processed using the honey method. The flavor profile is characterized by fruity notes of strawberry and mango, complemented by a sweet finish reminiscent of Canadian maple syrup. This coffee is roasted to highlight its natural acidity and sweetness, making it suitable for various filter brewing methods.
Originally established in 2002 by founders Sascha Spittel and Robert Stock as Tres Cabezas and rebranded to 19grams in 2018, this Berlin-based roastery has been a pioneer in bringing specialty coffee to Germany when the movement was barely recognized in the country.
