This coffee comes from Finca El Barejón in El Vencedor, Colasay, Peru, owned by Yonal Fernández and Imelda Villalobos. La Mandarina is one of three parcels on the 3.25-hectare farm, planted with 100% Bourbon variety. The coffee undergoes a 24-hour dry fermentation in large tanks, is then pulped and washed, followed by slow drying over 15 days in solar driers. The cherries are hand-picked and sorted before processing.
Founded in 2009 by Kaelin McCowan in a back alley in Dundas, Ontario, Detour Coffee Roasters was born from a passion for the craft. They started with a journey across the continent to pick up their first roaster and have since grown into a beloved brand known for their fun, approachable, and high-quality "friendly coffee".
