This coffee is a Geisha varietal from Panama's La India region in Boquete, cultivated at 1500-1700 meters altitude. It is a washed coffee processed with the WX fermentation method. The coffee exhibits aroma notes of orange and peach; flavors of honey, orange, and yellow grape; and a juicy, light body with mid-intensity citric acidity. It is a light roast optimized for filter brewing, with a sensory balance described as synergetic and a quality score of 93.5.
Coffea Circulor emerged from its founders' work with the United Nations environmental branch in Arendal, after witnessing coffee farmers in Kenya being paid merely $0.70/kg for green coffee. Initially roasting on a lighthouse island named Store Torungen, nowadays the company operates onshore as a multi-award winning producer, roaster, and research lab.
