This coffee is a single origin Geisha from Panama, grown at El Velo, Quiel farm at 1700 meters altitude. It is a washed coffee, de-pulped and fermented for 48 hours before slow drying on raised beds. The coffee exhibits flavor notes of honey, mango, peach, apple aroma, with mid intensity orange and citric acidity, a juicy light body, and a synergetic balance.
Coffea Circulor emerged from its founders' work with the United Nations environmental branch in Arendal, after witnessing coffee farmers in Kenya being paid merely $0.70/kg for green coffee. Initially roasting on a lighthouse island named Store Torungen, nowadays the company operates onshore as a multi-award winning producer, roaster, and research lab.
