This Geisha variety coffee is produced by Hacienda Cañas Verdes in the Boquete region of Panama at 1,550 meters altitude. It is a natural processed coffee grown in volcanic soil within the Volcán Barú National Park. The flavor profile is characterized by notes of blackberry, cherry, and raspberry, with a juicy, light body and a finish featuring toffee and vanilla. It offers a complex acidity reminiscent of purple plum.
Coffea Circulor emerged from its founders' work with the United Nations environmental branch in Arendal, after witnessing coffee farmers in Kenya being paid merely $0.70/kg for green coffee. Initially roasting on a lighthouse island named Store Torungen, nowadays the company operates onshore as a multi-award winning producer, roaster, and research lab.
