La Florida Sidra White Honey Competition Lot

La Florida Sidra White Honey Competition Lot

Rose Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This lot is from Fabricio's Sidra trees at Hacienda La Florida in Sozoranga, Ecuador. The cherries are washed, depulped, and dried with mucilage left on the seeds to create a white honey profile. The drying room is designed for controlled, slow drying, resulting in a clean profile with floral notes and bright fruit acidity. The lot gained recognition in competitions and is offered in multiple sizes.

Rose Coffee Roasters

Rose Coffee Roasters was founded in 2022 in Zurich by Matt Winton, the 2021 World Brewers Cup Champion, together with Frederic Brunner. Matt's background spans aircraft engineering in Australia and years of competition at the highest level of specialty coffee. The team, which includes Sierra Yeo (2022 UK Brewers Cup Champion), roasts exclusively on Stronghold electric roasters powered by 100% renewable electricity. Every batch is roasted to order, with a deliberate focus on brightness, sweetness, and flavor. Rose sources top end specialty lots through direct relationships with farmers in Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, China, and Indonesia. The name represents a duality Matt finds in great coffee: something simple and familiar on the surface, yet layered and complex underneath. It is a small, independent roastery with no shortcuts and no cheap blends.
