Arkib Kopi

About This Coffee

Go Gu Gu Tegu takes its name from the local word for low place, reflecting its setting in the foothills between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range. Resting around 1,700 meters above sea level, Nyeri highlands contribute bright clarity through fully washed processing. Tegu offers deep cola sweetness with bay leaf aroma and grape candy notes, complemented by a spice-driven midsection and mulberry nuances as it cools. This is a washed Kenyan coffee with a bright, structured finish and pronounced clarity.

Arkib Kopi

Arkib Kopi was founded in 2018 by Helmi, a certified Q grader whose training in Japan shaped both his palate and his approach to presentation. The roastery operates from its "Ibu Sawat" (Mothership) facility in Kuala Lumpur, housing a custom 1kg machine alongside a 15kg Cogen roaster for production batches. Sourcing follows a dual model: direct trade with producers to secure top lots and a sustainable partnership with Falcon Coffee Trader that prioritizes social and environmental impact. The lineup is organized into three collections, FANSI for omni roast, RUTIN for filter, and MANIS for espresso, each highlighting seasonal origins from Rwanda, Panama, Indonesia, and Brazil. Arkib also runs weekend public cupping sessions at its flagship, reinforcing its role as a community hub for specialty coffee education in Malaysia.
