Capucas is a washed Honduran coffee from the Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada (Cocafcal) near the Celaque mountain. The coffee is harvested at optimum ripeness, washed, and dried in a solar dryer before storage in parchment. Flavour notes teased on the page include apple, cherry, orange and peach.
Grain & Grind opened its first coffee shop at the start of 2018 beneath the old Victoria Infirmary buildings on Battlefield Road in Glasgow. A roaster was installed in that original shop and later relocated to Inverness, where master roaster John now hand roasts in small batches across a range of over twenty offerings. The company has grown to eight café locations spread between Glasgow and Inverness. They also run a wholesale supply business providing beans, brew bags, and equipment to cafés, restaurants, and hotels, partnering with San Remo for espresso machines and Mahlkönig for grinders.
