About This Coffee

This coffee is a single-origin lot from the Tima sub-kebele in Odo Shakiso, Guji, Ethiopia. Produced by 25 smallholder farmers at the Weessi station, it is grown at an altitude of 2000-2150 meters. The coffee consists of JARC 74110 and 74112 varieties and undergoes an anoxic honey process, including a 48-hour fermentation in sealed tanks. The flavor profile features bright notes of meyer lemon, granny smith apple, white grape, milk oolong, lemongrass, kesar mango, and crisp pear, with sparkling acidity reminiscent of dry riesling wine.

Scenery Coffee Roasters

Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
