El Encanto Maragesha Natural is a Colombian microlot from Pijao in Quindío, grown by smallholder producers and processed using Cofinet's EF2 Natural method. Maragesha is a rare, naturally occurring cross between Gesha and Maragogype varieties, cultivated at approximately 2,050 meters altitude. Cherries are hand-picked selectively, floated-sorted, and hand-sorted before undergoing 45 hours of aerobic fermentation and slow drying on raised beds. The coffee exhibits floral and juicy notes, blueberry sweetness, crisp lime, and red fruit layers, with a full, syrupy mouthfeel and long, candy-like aftertaste.
