This coffee is a microlot from producer Cristina Hernandez, grown in the Petatan region of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, at an altitude of 1700-1740 meters. The coffee is a blend of Caturra and Catuaí varieties, processed using the traditional washed method and sun-dried. It offers a complex flavor profile with tropical fruit notes, specifically honey dew melon and lychee, complemented by a hint of milk chocolate and a long finish. This coffee is suitable for both filter brewing and espresso.
Clifftop Coffee Roasters is a Portugal-based specialty roaster that sources single-origin coffee seasonally and ships it freshly roasted across Europe. It started in 2021 with coffee roasted on a balcony overlooking the sea and sold at a local market, then grew into a nano-roastery. The operation has scaled up since, with a bigger roaster, and a dedicated warehouse. Green coffee is sourced seasonally and roasted for balance and consistency, backed by quality control and regular cupping, across a rotating lineup that has recently included Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Rwanda.
