This single-origin coffee is sourced from the Concepción Huista region in the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes mountains of Guatemala. Grown at high altitudes, the coffee benefits from a unique microclimate created by warm plains air mixing with cool mountain air. Produced by a cooperative of smallholder farmers, this lot features a classic, sweet flavor profile characterized by notes of rich chocolate and warm caramel.
The first coffee roaster in Cambridge, Broadsheet opened in 2017 , with owner Aaron McDougall, a finalist at the US Roasting Championship, shifting into coffee from a previous careerin banking. Aaron is an Arabica Q-Grader and sources exceptional coffees from around the world that range from comforting to experimental and eye-opening.
