This coffee is a Bourbon Ají variety from Huila, Colombia, produced by Yadimir Quiguanas Pérez. Despite its colloquial name, genetic testing revealed this variety is not a bourbon but part of the Ethiopia Landrace family. The variety gained recognition at the Cup of Excellence in 2021. The coffee is washed and raised-bed dried. It is suitable for both espresso and filter brewing methods.
