Seth Taylor Coffee

About This Coffee

This coffee is a Caturra variety grown at 2120 meters above sea level in the Arboleda community of Nariño, Colombia. It is processed using a Reposado Washed method, where cherries are fermented for 30 hours before pulping, followed by an additional 30 hours of fermentation with mucilage and two washes. The beans are then sun-dried on mats for 18 to 20 days. This coffee offers a creamy and sweet profile with distinct tasting notes of chocolate, butterscotch, and raisin.

Seth Taylor Coffee

Seth Taylor put his own name on this Montreal micro roastery, establishing a personal, hands on approach that extends from direct relationships with producers to origin travel and intimate cuppings. Starting as a pop up before settling in Mile End, the operation remains deliberately small, with limited production runs that prioritize quality over volume. Roasting is done in small batches with light to medium profiles showcasing origins from Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, and El Salvador. The roastery primarily operates as a production facility rather than a bustling cafe, supplying select Montreal specialty cafes through a focused wholesale program. A subscription service with personalized selections reflects Seth's belief that coffee is best when it carries the personal touch of someone who genuinely cares about every step.
