Dear Green Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is grown in the high-altitude region of Rural Bujumbura, Burundi. Cultivated by 384 smallholder family farms on nutrient-rich volcanic soil, this Red Bourbon variety is processed using the washed method. The cool mountain climate slows cherry ripening, contributing to an intense sweetness. The flavor profile features a vibrant citrus acidity of tangerine, balanced by juicy bramble brightness and a smooth, lingering cane sugar finish.

Dear Green Coffee Roasters

Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Lisa Lawson after a formative period working at Toby's Estate in Australia. The company is named after Glasgow's historic Gaelic nickname, "the dear green place," and sources exclusively specialty grade coffee through trusted importers and direct producer relationships, with Lawson personally visiting farms to verify ethical practices. Dear Green employs in house Q Graders to maintain strict quality control, only releasing coffees that meet its sensory standards. The roastery holds Certified B Corp status and prioritizes traceability, organic certification where possible, and sourcing from women producers.
