This coffee is from El Placer farm in Quindio, Colombia, produced by farmer Sebastián Ramírez. It is a Pink Bourbon variety grown at approximately 2000 meters altitude. The coffee is honey processed and light roasted. Tasting notes include melon and pineapple with a fruity cotton candy character, bursting with sweetness and a juicy mouthfeel. The coffee comes from the El Placer project, which operates farms at altitudes between 1500-1744 meters and higher, using experimental processing techniques including co-fermentations, controlled drying, and mosto activators.
Founded by Greg Lanctot and Jessie Lewin, rising stars in Montreal's coffee scene who roast micro and nano lots. With head roaster Jessie leading the vision, they believe all coffees should be drunk with excitement, sourcing some of the most adventurous varietals and processes in the coffee landscape.
