This washed microlot comes from Merly Leon and her farm, La Palta, located in Queromarca, Peru. Situated at an altitude of 2,050-2,250 meters, the farm benefits from a cool climate and ample sunshine. The coffee undergoes a specialized process involving a 48-hour anaerobic fermentation of the cherries, followed by depulping and an additional 42-hour fermentation, before being washed and dried on raised beds for 17-18 days. This coffee offers great clarity, complexity, and a well-developed sweetness with flavor notes of peach and honey.
