Peixoto Coffee Roasters

Peixoto Coffee Roasters was opened in 2015 in Chandler, Arizona, by Julia Peixoto Peters and her husband Jeff, drawing on over a century of coffee farming in Julia's family. The Peixoto family's farm, Fazenda São José da Boa Vista in the highlands of Minas Gerais, Brazil, has been producing coffee for four generations at around 4,200 feet elevation. Julia and Jeff visit the farm each harvest season to oversee processing and selection, then roast the beans themselves in Arizona, maintaining complete control from cultivation through the finished cup. The operation is the only production roaster in the Phoenix area that grows its own coffee, giving them full traceability across every stage of production. Peixoto was named Best Coffee Roasters in Phoenix by New Times in 2025.
