KLVN Coffee Lab was founded by Jeff Sloan and Will Humphrey, who met in the Bay Area and began wholesale roasting operations in 2015 before opening their Pittsburgh café on February 3, 2020, in the Larimer neighborhood near East Liberty. The roastery runs a lineup of Probat equipment, from a double barrel BRZ 2 sample roaster to a 15 kilo Probat UG, allowing precise profiling at every scale. KLVN sources from single estate, traceable origins and cups every arrival to dial in the ideal roast, offering certified organic, fair trade, and Swiss Water decaf options. The design forward space reflects a California inspired minimalism unusual for Pittsburgh, and the wholesale program supports local businesses with roasted beans and training.
