About This Coffee

This coffee is sourced from Kasese, Western Uganda, and produced by over 4,300 small-scale farmers. It is an SL-14 variety grown at an altitude between 1300 and 2030 meters. The cherries undergo 72 hours of anaerobic fermentation in sealed plastic drums, followed by 18–24 days of drying on raised beds. This process results in a richly textured and vibrant cup with flavor notes of brown sugar, date, and pineapple. It is roasted to a medium level, suitable for espresso brewing.

Seven Seeds Coffee Roasters

Established in 2007 by Mark Dundon and Bridget Amor, Seven Seeds was created to embody the ideals of exceptional and transparent coffee.A pioneer in Melbourne's coffee scene, the company's name honors the story of Baba Budan, who smuggled seven coffee seeds from Yemen, breaking the Arabic world's cultivation monopoly. Their approach is founded on transparency, and since 2018, they have published the "farmgate" price they pay directly to producers. They focus on building partnerships with producers, whom they see as professional colleagues.
