Pirates of Coffee

About This Coffee

Maroon Geisha is a single-origin Geisha variety coffee produced by Joseph Brodsky at Ninety Plus Geisha Estates (Estate #103, Lot #23094) in Volcán Valley, Panama, grown at 1450 masl on the western slopes of the Barú volcano. The coffee is harvested in January 2023 and grown without chemicals under full forest canopy using natural spring water and rainwater. It undergoes the proprietary Thermolic™ process — an experimental heat- and oxygen-controlled fermentation method — and is light roasted for filter brewing. Tasting notes include dark chocolate, plum, and black cherry, with a tea-like mouthfeel and a cup score of 92.00.
