Kenya Peaberry sourced from Marimira Coffee Factory in Murang'a, Kenya at 1400-1600m elevation. Produced by approximately 1000 smallholder farmers in the Aberdare Mountain Range region. Washed processed with varieties including SL28, K7, Ruiru11, and Batian. Light roast peaberry featuring mouth-watering blood orange, pomegranate, and candied grapefruit with a bold structure and lingering finish.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024. Moonwake represents a growing movement of technologists who discovered that coffee roasting offers greater fulfillment than their previous careers, channeling engineering precision into specialty coffee.
