A Kenya peaberry (caracolillo) from the Mahiga washing station in Nyeri county, Othaya region, grown at 1,800 meters above sea level. Produced by smallholder farmers affiliated with the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), founded in the 1950s, which manages 18 washing stations. Varieties include SL-28, SL-34, and small amounts of Ruiru-11. Washed/wet process: mechanically depulped, fermented to remove mucilage, fully washed with clean water, and dried on raised beds. Flavor notes include peach, sour peach, pineapple cake, brown sugar, cardamom, red fruits, and citrus.
