This coffee comes from the Kamwangi washing station in Kirinyaga district, Kenya, at 1600-1800 meters altitude on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. It is produced by approximately 1,500 small farmers who are members of the New Ngariama Farmers' Cooperative Society. The varieties are SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11, grown on fertile red volcanic Nitisol soil. The coffee is fully washed using a triple-disc Agaarde pulper, followed by dry fermentation for 18-36 hours in concrete tanks, density sorting, and sun-drying on African beds for 12-20 days. Harvest occurs from October to December. The cupping score is 87.75 points.
