This coffee is produced by Jhonny Alvarado from his farm Corazon de Jesus in Buena Vista de Rivas, Costa Rica, at an elevation of 1700-1850 meters. The Catuai variety is processed using the washed method. The flavor profile features honey, white peach, and apple crisp notes with honey-sweet aromatics. Sweet Bloom has maintained a purchasing relationship with this producer since 2020, and this marks the fifth year of purchasing coffee from his farm.
Andy Sprenger founded Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters in 2013 in Lakewood, Colorado. Sprenger is a two time U.S. Brewers Cup Champion and World Brewers Cup runner up, bringing a competition level understanding of extraction and flavor to his roasting.
