Honduras Café Organico

Jungle Roastery

About This Coffee

This coffee is sourced from the Marcala region of Honduras, grown at an altitude of 1200-1700 meters by the COMSA cooperative. It is a blend of Caturra, Catuai, and Typica varieties, processed using the washed method. The coffee is grown under the shade of Inga, citrus, and banana trees, reflecting a commitment to biodynamic agriculture. In the cup, it offers a clean and consistent profile with tasting notes of milk chocolate, apple, caramel, honey, and nuts, making it particularly well-suited for espresso preparation.

Jungle Roastery

Jungle Roastery has been operating since December 2022 from a space inside the Welding Institute complex on Račianska street in Bratislava's new downtown, not far from the Zaha Hadid designed Sky Park towers. Founded by Zdeno Kysučan, the roastery initially worked with an electric Stronghold machine before upgrading to a Typhoon roaster paired with an optical sorter that significantly reduces defective beans before they ever reach the drum. Coffee is roasted every other day for maximum freshness, and the cafe is equipped with La Marzocco, San Remo, and Mahlkönig machines in a plant filled space with large windows. The facility also hosts Fest Čierny Deň, Bratislava's specialty coffee festival, and is available for private events, conferences, and exhibitions.
