About This Coffee

Gatubu AA is a washed coffee from Muranga County, Kenya, grown at an altitude of 1550-1750 meters. Produced by the Iyego Farmers’ Cooperative Society, this lot features a blend of Ruiru 11, SL28, SL34, and Batian varieties. The cup profile is zesty and juicy, characterized by fruity notes of blackcurrant and lime, balanced by the dark sweetness of molasses and a syrupy mouthfeel. The beans are processed by pulping, fermenting for 12-48 hours, and drying on raised beds for 2-3 weeks.
