Gakundu AB is a washed Kenyan coffee from the Gakundu Coffee Factory, located in Ngandori West, Embu County, at 1,650 meters above sea level. It is produced by the Gakundu Farmers' Cooperative Society, serving 1,262 farmers. Varieties include SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru 11, and Batian. The coffee is handpicked, pulped, fermented, washed, and sun-dried on raised beds. Flavor notes include blackcurrant, blackberry, and black tea, with a juicy, fruity, and acidic character.
