Ethiopia Metu Illubabor

Portrait Coffee

About This Coffee

This coffee is a washed single-origin selection from the Metu washing station in the Illubabor zone of Ethiopia's western highlands. Grown by smallholder farmers in the Hihud Gebeya community at an altitude of 2,000 to 2,100 meters, the coffee consists of Ethiopia landrace varieties. The cherries are mechanically depulped, soaked overnight, and dried on raised beds for 12 to 15 days. The flavor profile features crisp notes of pear, green tea, and cane sugar. This coffee is roasted to a light to medium level and is recommended for pour-over or drip brewing.
