This coffee is from the Bona Zuria washing station located in Bona Zuria village in the Bensa zone of Sidamo, Ethiopia. The coffee is grown at towering altitudes of 2,000 to 2,330 meters above sea level. The Bona Zuria district produces washed coffee with brightness and intensity, offering a unique flavor profile comparable to the famed Yirgacheffe region. The coffee is processed using the washed method and features the diversity of local landrace varieties that differ from farm to farm. The region's younger coffee plantations, dating back approximately 10 years, are now in their prime and producing high quality coffee with the bright and floral cup quality Ethiopia is known for.
