This decaf coffee is sourced from the highlands of Komodo, Indonesia. It is crafted from 100% organic Arabica beans and processed using the Swiss Water® Process, which removes 99.9% of caffeine using only water, time, and care without harsh chemicals. This medium-roasted, full-bodied coffee is ultra low-acid and stomach-friendly. The flavor profile includes notes of buttery richness, cacao, toasted marshmallow, and a subtle black tea finish, with black tea, earthy, and herbal aromatics. The coffee offers a medium, smooth, and clean body with the lowest acidity level.
Blind Dog Coffee was founded in 2007 by Mark Berry in Gardnerville, Nevada. Mark developed cancer as a young child that ultimately threatened his eyesight, and by age 49 he became legally blind, ending a 30 year career and prompting him to learn professional coffee roasting. The roastery uses 100% USDA Certified Organic beans with a GMO free, no additives guarantee, and sources ethically in support of fair labour practices. A portion of all proceeds goes to the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, reflecting Mark's personal connection to childhood cancer. The business operates a roastery headquarters in Gardnerville alongside a coffee shop and café in nearby Minden.
