This coffee is a Gesha variety from the Volcan Azul estate in the West Valley region of Costa Rica, grown at an altitude of 1600 meters. Managed by producer Alejo Castro, the cherries undergo an anaerobic natural process, where they are fermented in airtight tanks before sun-drying. This results in a vibrant and complex cup featuring bright notes of ripe bing cherry, a tropical burst of juicy guava, and a velvety finish of dark honey. It is a light roast coffee recommended for filter and pour-over brewing methods.
